As a mountainous and a country with varied climate Nepal hoards different kinds of medicinal and aromatic plants. About 700 varieties of herbs have been identified and regular research work is going on for identifying new herbs. All the available herbs are not processed currently. HPPCL processes mainly herbs which are available in different areas. Some of currently processed herbs are Bojho, Boke Timur, Titepati, Vyakur, Jhoyau, Ashuroko Pat, Beladona, Dhupiko Geda, Gnashingre, Titepati, Saipatriko Phul, Laghupatra, Sugandhakokila, Sarpagandha, Sugandhwal, Jatamasi, Lemongrass, Pudina, Khoto and Silajeet etc.
