Grab A $125 Checking Bonus From Regions

You can beef up your checking account balance by $125 if you open a new LifeGreen Checking Account with Regions Bank, make a direct deposit and use your Visa check card.

The bank, based in Birmingham, Ala., is offering the special bonus through Sept. 30 for residents in the 16 Southern and Midwestern states where the bank operates.

The offer is available for new Regions checking account customers, and you must open the account online, using the promotional code Online125Bonus (www.regions.com).

You’ll need to make at least a $50 minimum deposit to open your account.

Within 60 days of opening your account, you must have payroll or government direct deposits of at least $500 land in your account and use your Visa check card at least 10 times.

Once you fulfill the requirements, the bank will credit $125 to your account within 90 days.

It’s important that you continue to have direct deposits to your account or maintain a decent-size balance in your account if you want to avoid monthly fees.

A LifeGreen Checking Account carries a $10 monthly fee, but if you have one payroll or government direct deposit of at least $500 each month, or have several direct deposits totaling at least $1,000, you’ll avoid the fee. Your other option is to keep at least $1,500 in the account.

The check card that accompanies the LifeGreen Checking Account is tied to a Cashback Rewards program, so purchases from selected retailers or service providers will earn you cash.
