Anita Ekberg

How confident was Anita Ekberg in her appeal to men? The popular ’60s pinup once boasted, “It was I who made [director Federico] Fellini famous, not the other way around.” Perhaps Fellini is to blame for creating his own monster: the director cast Ekberg as an unattainable “dream girl” in his classic film La Dolce Vida. At least you can’t blame his thinking: Before she became an actress, Ekberg had been a professional model in Sweden and a former Miss Universe contestant.Anita Ekberg
