Top 10 Things To Do in Niagara Falls


Planning a trip to Niagara Falls can be a lot of fun, especially if you already know what you want to do once you’re there! If you’re out of ideas and need to plan for fun, then those listed below are worth considering. They are the top attractions and activities that visitors enjoy the most!

10. Devil’s Hole State Park

This is a scenic hiking area that gives you great views of the Niagara River before you get to the Niagara Falls. You can stay walking up on the gorge or you can walk down to the river, as there are a lot of different paths available to follow. Make sure you wear hiking shoes, as there are tough terrains that you’ll come across.

9. Niagara Adventure Theater

This is a unique way to see the falls, especially since it won’t include you getting wet. It gives you an up-close and personal view of the Bridal Veil Falls, American Fall and Horseshoe Falls. You will learn a lot about the area through the film that they show throughout the day. It’s a great place to stop before you actually visit the water, especially if you want to know more about what you’re looking at.

8. Aquarium of Niagara

There are over 1,500 marine animals here that you can enjoy seeing when you visit. There’s a sea lion show, a gift shop and it’s kid friendly. It’s not next to the falls, but it’s worth a short drive if you want to experience all that the area has to offer. It’s not a huge aquarium, but it does have a lot of different animals that you wouldn’t find in other places.

7. Whirlpool State Park

This is a spot that is worth stopping at because it gives you a beautiful view of mother nature. There are walking paths that lead down to the river and beautiful views that will make for gorgeous pictures. There’s also free parking so you won’t have to worry about where to leave your car.

6. Maid of the Mist

If you want to see the falls from the water, then you have to do it with Maid of the Mist boat tours. This is a great activity for groups and individuals because it gives you an up-close view of the falls. You will get wet, but rain coats are available and there’s a patio where you can dry off.

5. Niagara Gorge Trail

If you like to hike, then this trail is worth visiting. There are signs throughout the trail so you can find your way, and you will have great views of the water next to you and the landscape in front of you. It’s important to bring hiking shoes and you have to be prepared for a lot of exercise.

4. Niagara Science Museum

Although this isn’t located right next to the falls, it is easy to find in the North end of Niagara Falls. There’s a lot to see inside, so you can make a day of enjoying the entire area. If you are into history or just enjoy learning about different places you visit, then this is a treasure.

3. Bridal Veil Falls

You can see this waterfall, which is named for looking like a bridal veil, from land or a boat. It’s in between American and Horseshoe Falls and is truly beautiful to look at. It is smaller than the other waterfalls, but it’s just as beautiful.

2. Niagara Falls State Park

When you’re here you can visit Old Fort Niagara, museums and historic sites that have been around for a long time. You can even walk along the Niagara Wine Trail if you’re looking for something fun to do. You can see beautiful views of the falls alongside the park, so take your camera with you.

1. Cave of the Winds

Anyone who is up for a fun tour will love this! You start by putting on a hooded raincoat to keep you dry. After this, your group will walk down into a cave that is right near the foot of Niagara Falls. This will give you an up-close view of the water that you otherwise wouldn’t be able to see. It’s beautiful during the day and in the evening, which makes it very worthwhile to try out. You can catch some amazing pictures here, but make sure your camera is waterproof.
